Occupational Therapy at School
Occupation Therapy in public schools is provided as a related service when an IEP team determines that a student requires it to benefit from special education programming. My students receive treatment services directly in the classroom or in individual/small group sessions. Treatment services may also be provided through consultation with the student's classroom or special education teacher.

As an Occupational Therapist, I work closely with teachers, support staff and families to assist identified children as they participate in their school occupations. Some of these occupations include:

Playing
Manipulating objects & materials
Self-regulation
Writing
Self-care
Other fine-motor skills

I started working in the Menomonee Falls School District in 1998. I welcome and enjoy the daily challenges encountered in my position. I provide Occupational Therapy services and consultation at the following schools:

Valley View Elementary
Thomas Jefferson Middle School
North Junior High

Prior to my employment with the Menomonee Falls School District, I worked as an Occupational Therapist at Oconomowoc Developmental Training Center, an area residential treatment facility for children. My education and credentials include:

B.S. in Occupational Therapy from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee: 1993
M.S. in Special Education and Assistive Technology from UWM: 2003
Certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
Registered by the State of Wisconsin
Licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction
