The Green Bay Public School District provides
services to all students who might have a visual impairment or a suspected
visual impairment from ages 3-21.
Referrals can be made at any age by anyone who suspects impairment. Our team of experts will set up an
appointment to complete an in-depth evaluation to determine whether the student
meets the eligibility criteria to receive services in the the area of
vision.
Currently, the district employs three certified
Vision Teachers and two very highly skilled Paraprofessionals. As a team, we provide the best possible
programming for our visually impaired students. These services include such things as simple magnification
devices, non-glare lighting devices, large print books, text to speech
software, Braille instruction, technology training and support, and Orientation
and Mobility training,
