The Giving Tree
So begins the story of The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. As we know, the story of the giving tree tells of the joy of giving more than you receive. Once again Edison is blessed with just such an individual. Today as we work our way through our final day of the 2007-2008 school year, do so as you think of our final addition to our Giving Tree mural. The entire Edison community whole-heartedly supports the nomination of Mr. Rod Bohm as a permanent addition to our Giving Tree mural. It is only fitting that Mr. Bohm’s name become a permanent fixture here at Edison, for his legacy will resonate through these halls for years to come.
We all know Mr. Bohm’s favorite saying “Live, Love, Learn, Leave a Legacy”. Mr. Bohm has left a legacy with Edison that will remain a cherished part of our community though he may be several blocks away. Thank you Mr. Bohm for your dedication to students and staff alike. Thank you for your dedication to learning and for always working to see the best in everyone. Thank you for your patience and for the legacy you leave us. What a gift it is! You will be missed.
