SCHOLARSHIPS VOLUME 7 - 2009
SHARP SCHOLARSHIP
This is a $1000 scholarship for a student who has exemplary character and financial need. A personal statement is required along with your Student Aid Report from your FAFSA. The deadline for turning this application into your counselor is March 1, 2010.
EARL A. HEYRMAN SCHOLARSHIP
Students who are planning to major in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Construction Management at St. Norbert College, University of Colorado, MSOE, Michigan Tech., Marquette University, University of Minnesota or another school in the UW system should apply for this scholarship. This is a $1000 scholarship. Requirements for this scholarship are: grades, co-curricular, post educational endeavors, aptitude tests and financial need. An essay is required along with the Student Aid Report from the FAFSA. The deadline for turning this application into your counselor is April 1, 2010.
UW-STEVENS POINT TRYTTEN SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for a student who is enrolled at UW-Stevens Point with an intended major in Chemistry. You must have a GPA of 3.5 or better (which includes the first semester of senior year). This scholarship is for $4000 over 4 years. A letter of recommendation and essay are also required. The deadline for turning this scholarship into your counselor is January 25, 2010.
HEMOPHILIA OUTREACH CENTER OF GREEN BAY
This scholarship is for a student who themselves have been diagnosed with Hemophilia or von Wellebrand Disease or their parent or a sibling has been diagnosed with hemophilia or von Wellenbrand Disease. The deadline for turning this scholarship into your counselor is
February 23, 2010.
UW-MADISON ACTUARIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for a student who is a high school senior and is planning a career in actuarial science at UW-Madison. The award will be based on mathematical aptitude. This is a scholarship for $2,000 per year for four years. The deadline for turning this scholarship into your counselor is February 8, 2010.
AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY
There are several scholarships available through the American Legion Auxiliary. These scholarships have various deadlines in the month of March. Information is available on the website: www.amlegionauxwi.org.
BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU OF WISCONSIN: STUDENTOF INTEGRITY SCHOLARSHIP
Students applying for this scholarship must be U.S. citizens and legal residents of the state of Wisconsin. You must have at least a 3.0 GPA along with 2 letters of recommendation. An essay is required. You must also be able to show community involvement. The deadline for turning this application into your counselor is February 22, 2010.
NIC FOUNDATION: “BUILDING CHARACTER THROUGH ART”
This is an Art Contest with a prize of $100 for first place. Students may enter art work in one of

CELLCOM SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for students who plan to attend a 2 or 4-year college with a good academic record, leadership, community service and honors in high school. The deadline for applying for this scholarship is February 25, 2010.
