BAYCARE CLINIC FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
If you are planning on majoring in a healthcare related field this is the scholarship for you. One scholarship will be awarded to a West High Student. The requirements for this scholarship are: academic excellence, community involvement and leadership. There is a requirement for an essay and 3 letters of recommendation. This scholarship is due to your counselor by March19, 2012

THOMAS LUTSEY- WASEDA FARMS SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is available to students who meet the following eligibility requirements:
• Planning to attend an accredited 4-year college or a 2-year program/technical school then transferring to a 4-year program as a full time student.
• 3.0 GPA or higher
• Satisfactory ACT or SAT scores
• Have a rural or agricultural background
• Planning, a career in agriculture such as dairy science, animal science, agricultural engineering, veterinary medicine, agricultural economics, biotechnology, computer science, environmental science, business administration and education.
• Have the need for financial assistance

BENJAMIN EDINGER SCHOLARSHIP OF HONOR
A West High School student will be awarded this scholarship in memory of a former student who died as a result of injuries he sustained in Iraq. Ben was a 1999 West High Graduate. The student who receives this award must be planning a military career or a career of public service, such as Police Science, Fire Science, Teaching, EMT etc. The deadline for turning this application into your counselor is April 13, 2012

WISCONSIN CATTLEMEN/CATTLEWOMEN COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP
This is a $500 scholarship for a student who is pursuing a degree in an agriculture related field. You must have a background in the beef, veal, or dairy industry. High school and community involvement is required along with 3 letters of recommendation. This scholarship is due to your counselor no later than February 18, 2011



GILL-TECH ACADEMY OF HAIR DESIGN
This is a scholarship for a student who is enrolled at the Gill-Tech Academy of Hair Design. It is a $500 scholarship for a student with a GPA of 2.5 or above. The deadline for turning this application into your counselor is April 23, 2012.

JEFF AND DIANE ROZNOWSKI ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION – 2012
This is a $1,000 achievement scholarship that will be awarded to a West High senior by West High Alumni Jeff and Diane Roznowski, Class of 1976. Students applying for this scholarship should show high academic achievement, leadership experience, involvement in high school extra-curricular activities, community and civic involvement and a commitment to pursue a degree at the college or university level. Two letters of recommendation and an essay are also required. The deadline for turning the completed scholarship application into your counselor is March 23, 2012(to account for spring break).

NEWCOMER FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP
Are you interested in nursing? If so, Ren and Theresa Newcomer’s family-owned company, Newcomer Funeral Homes & Crematories, would like to help you reach your goal through their Tradition of Caring nursing scholarship. This scholarship is open to:
• All local students pursuing a degree in nursing will be enrolled during the 2012-2013 school year.
• High school seniors currently pursuing a nursing or pre-nursing course of study.
Scholarships of $1,000 each are annually awarded and checks will be made out to the recipient's school. Recipients are selected from applicants who meet eligibility requirements and have permanent residence in a community served by a Newcomer Funeral Home. The scholarship can be used in any area of study in the field of nursing.
The application deadline is: January 31, 2012
