SCHOLARSHIPS VOLUME 5- 2009


UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA-TWIN CITIES ETHEL CURRY AMERICAN INDIAN SCHOLARSHIP
The Ethel Curry American Indian Scholarship is for a student who has been accepted at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and is of American Indian heritage. This scholarship is for $4,000 per year. An essay and letter of recommendation are required for this scholarship. The deadline for turning this scholarship into your counselor is February 22, 2010.


UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA-TWIN CITIES MDEWAKANTON SIOUX COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP
This is a need based scholarship for an American Indian student who has been admitted to the University Of Minnesota Twin Cities. An essay and letter of recommendation are required along with applying for the FAFSA. The deadline for turning this scholarship into your counselor is March 16, 2010.

YOUNG FARMERS ASSOCIATION OF NWTC
If you are pursuing a degree in an Agriculture or Agribusiness Field at NWTC this is a scholarship you should be applying for. You must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The deadline for turning this scholarship into your counselor is February 26, 2010.

WISCONSIN TITLE I ASSOCIATION
This scholarship is for a 2 or 4 year college. Students who apply must have been in a Title I/Chapter I Program sometime during their Early Childhood through Grade 12 school career. The deadline for submitting this scholarship to your counselor is
February 10, 2010

EDWARD RATHKE SCHOLARSHIP TRUST
This scholarship is for a 2 or 4-year college and is worth up to $1500. Worthy students who need financial assistance should apply. You must be living in Brown or Oconto County. The deadline for turning this scholarship into your counselor is March 19, 2010.


FOX CITIES CHAPTER OF CREDIT UNION’S ESSAY CONTEST
This is an essay contest. You must be an active member of a Fox Cities Credit Union. Community service is a must for this scholarship. The deadline for turning this scholarship into your counselor is February 8, 2010.

DECA SCHOLARSHIPS
There are several scholarships for DECCA students. You must be a member of DECA to qualify for these scholarships. Scholarships may be found online at: www.deca.org.schol.html.
Our deadline is February 5, 2010.

WEST HIGH MUSIC PARENT ASSOCIATION
To qualify for this scholarship you must have participated in 4 years of band, choir or orchestra at West High. If you transferred to West you must provide a transcript from your previous school indicating participation in one of the above. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is also required along with student or parent participation in volunteering for at least one Music Parent Association activity per year. You must not have any Code of Conduct violations during your senior year. The deadline for applying for this scholarship is April 16, 2010.
