SCHOLARSHIPS VOLUME 4


WISCONSIN AUTOMOBILE AND TRUCK DEALERS
You must attend a Wisconsin Technical College in an Automobile Tech or Automobile Collision program. Must take a series of assessment evaluations. Testing must be completed by December 8, 2009. You will need to make an appointment to take the assessment at a technical college. Deadline: December 8, 2009


ELLINGTON MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY
This scholarship is available to students whose parents are policy holders of Ellington Mutual Insurance Company. Students may pick up an application from Mrs. Fuchs in the Career Center. It is due back to your counselor by February 15, 2010.

ENGINEERS FOUNDATION OF WISCONSIN
This scholarship is for a student who is enrolled in a university engineering curriculum and is intending to earn a degree in engineering and to enter the practice of engineering after graduation. Students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and a minimum score of 24 on the ACT. They must also be U.S. citizens and a Wisconsin resident. You may access this scholarship online at www.wspe.org/efw.html The deadline to turn this application into your counselor is December 15, 2009.

WISCONSIN MEDICAL SOCIETY FOUNDATION
If you are planning to attend college as a medical student, nurse, respiratory therapist, physical therapist or occupational therapist, you should apply for this scholarship. Selection will be based on financial need, personal qualities and strengths, academic achievement and letters of recommendation. The deadline for turning this application into your counselor is
March 19, 2010.


WISCONSIN EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION COUNCIL
This scholarship is for a student whose parent is a member or retired member of WEAC or whose parent died while a WEAC Member. You must be in the top 25% of your class or have a 3.0 grade point average. You will need two letters of recommendation and plan to pursue an education major or minor and intend to be employed the education profession in Wisconsin. The deadline to get this application to your counselor is February 12, 2010. This scholarship is available online on the Members Only section of OnWEAC at www.weac.org.

WISCONSIN PROFESSIONAL POLICE ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
Any Wisconsin resident enrolling in a college or vocational/technical school in a course of study leading to a two or four year degree in police science, criminal justice or a law enforcement related field which does not include law school is eligible for this scholarship. You must complete the scholarship application online at:

An essay is required along with 3 letters of recommendation from three different sources along with a transcript. This scholarship is due to your counselor by January 22, 2010.

UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA-TWIN CITIES ETHEL CURRY AMERICAN INDIAN SCHOLARSHIP
The Ethel Curry American Indian Scholarship is for a student who has been accepted at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and is of American Indian heritage. This scholarship is for $4,000 per year. An essay and letter of recommendation are required for this scholarship. The deadline for turning this scholarship into your counselor is February 22, 2010.


UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA-TWIN CITIES MDEWAKANTON SIOUX COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP
This is a need based scholarship for an American Indian student who has been admitted to the University Of Minnesota Twin Cities. An essay and letter of recommendation are required along with applying for the FAFSA. The deadline for turning this scholarship into your counselor is March 16, 2010.

YOUNG FARMERS ASSOCIATION OF NWTC
If you are pursuing a degree in an Agriculture or Agribusiness Field at NWTC this is a scholarship you should be applying for. You must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The deadline for turning this scholarship into your counselor is February 26, 2010.
