DAR Committee Scholarship Requirements
• Required personal information
• Transcript of grades
• Two letters of recommendation
• Essay – Must be handwritten-You will have 2 hours to complete-subject of essay will be given to you when you write it
• One student from West will be chosen to participate
• State winner receives $250
• National winner receives $5,000

HORATIO ALGER SCHOLARSHIP

To be eligible you must:
• complete the application online by October 30th
• have critical financial need
• be involved in co-curricular and community activities
• be a United States Citizen
• be pursuing a bachelor’s degree

BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU FOUNDATION STUDENT OF INTEGRITY SCHOLARSHIP

There are 2 scholarships available, one for students entering a 4 year college and one for students entering a technical or industrial trade. Students must have demonstrated integrity, character, leadership and ethical values. Due to your counselor by February 23, 2012

WI EDUCATION ASSOCIATION COUNCIL
$1,450 per year for four years of study provided student remains eligible.
Only high school seniors are eligible to apply, and only if a parent qualifies in one of these membership categories: an active WEAC member, an active retired member, or a parent who died while holding a WEAC membership.
In addition, the student must rank in the top 25% of his or her class or have achieved a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (based on a non-weighted 4.0 scale) at the time of application, plan to pursue an education major or minor, and intend to teach in Wisconsin

ELKS MOST VALUABLE STUDENT
The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2012 competition.
• Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply.
• Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.
• College students are not eligible to apply.
• Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
• Male and female students compete separately.
Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.

National CO-OP Scholarships
To be qualified for this scholarship you must attend one of the following colleges: Drexel University, Johnson & Wales University, Kettering University, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo or Wentworth Institute of Technology. VIETNAM VETERANS OF AMERICA CHAPTER 224
This scholarship is for students who are the child or grandchild of a Vietnam Era Vet. Students must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and an essay is part of the application. The deadline to turn this application into your counselor is February 17, 2011.
