SCHOLARSHIPS VOLUME 11


DELTA-KAPPA-GAMMA-HARDIE-FLANAGAN RUEPPEL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for a student who is pursuing a career in Education. Students must have high academic achievement, leadership abilities, financial need and 2 letters of recommendation. An essay is also required for this scholarship. This is a $1,000 scholarship. The scholarship is due to your counselor no later than March 8, 2010.


FOX RIVER VALLEY CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION
This is a $1,000 scholarship for a student who is majoring in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management. Students must attend UW-Stout, Madison, Marquette University, UW-Stout, UW-Platteville, or Milwaukee School Of Engineering. A letter of recommendation from a member of Fox River Valley Contractor’s Association is also required. The deadline for turning this application into your counselor is March 18, 2010.


WISCONSIN MATHEMATICS COUNCIL SCHOLARSHIP
If you are planning to be a Math Teacher, this is a scholarship you should be applying for!
You will need a letter of support from one of your math teachers who is a member of the Wisconsin Mathematics Council along with an essay and a student profile. The deadline for turning this application into your counselor is February 24, 2010.

STUDENT INSIGHTS SHOLARSHIP
All you have to do to apply for this scholarship is log on to www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in your area. The deadline for applying for this scholarship is April 22, 2010.

THE DONALD DRIVER FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP
To qualify for this scholarship you must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and an ACT score of 18 or higher. This scholarship is for a student who is attending a 2 or 4 year college, university or technical school. Applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation and an essay. The deadline for turning this application into your counselor is May 23, 2010.

BROWN COUNTY CHAPTER OF THE IZAAK WALTON LEAGUE OF AMERICA
RAY KLISS AND PAST PRESIDENT’S MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
Students who are studying Conservation or Environmental Science may apply for this scholarship. This scholarship consists of a Resume, a Transcript, 3 letters of recommendation and your phone number and school and program you plan to attend. This scholarship is due to your counselor by March 18, 2010.

EUNICE A. RUEPPEL
This is a scholarship available to a West High School female student only. Preference will be given to girls choosing to become missionaries, nurses, medical technicians, or paramedics. Financial need is a requirement of this scholarship along with involvement in career planning and a good attendance record. An essay and 2 recommendations are also required. The deadline to turn this scholarship into your counselor is March 12, 2010.

KIWANIS CLUB OF GREEN BAY DOWNTOWN
There will be five scholarships given out in the areas of science, math and engineering. These scholarships require 2 letters of recommendation an essay and transcript. The deadline for turning this application into your counselor is April 5, 2010.

WISCONSIN ELKS CLUB - TECHNICAL COLLEGE
If you are planning to attend NWTC or another Wisconsin technical college you may apply for this scholarship. You will need up to 3 letters of recommendation, a 200 word statement summarizing your activities, accomplishments, needs and objectives which the applicant thinks qualifies him or her for a grant and outlines career goals. The deadline for turning this application into your guidance counselor is March 18, 2010.
