Several scholarships will be awarded to students nationwide who qualify by having financial need, leadership abilities and a better than average scholastic record. An essay and 2 letters of recommendation are required. The application is available online at: www.elks.org/enf/scholars

• WENDY’S HIGH SCHOOL HEISMAN SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is for a student athlete with a 3.0 GPA or higher. You must apply online for this scholarship at: www.wendysheisman.com The deadline for this scholarship is October 1, 2009.
• DR. SUESS’S OH, THE PLACES YOU’LL GO! COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP
This is a $5,000 scholarship. You must write an essay. Students will need to send this scholarship in by February 15, 2010.
BURGER KING SCHOLARS
This scholarship is for students who have a job and work 15 hours a week or 40 weeks a year. Students must show financial need and have a recommendation from a teacher and their employer. Community service is a requirement for this scholarship. The scholarship is available online: www.haveityourwayfoundation.org/.
