SS10 U.S. History 1865-present
This course is a study of current United
States History, 1865 to the present. It includes the changing role of the U.S.
in world affairs. Issues discussed include: past and present politics, cultural
diversity, foreign affairs, technology, environmental issues, and domestic and
global problems.
Sociology
This course provides students with a
comprehensive study of the basic concepts, principles and
practices of sociology. Topics covered include culture, family, deviance,
stratification, social interaction and group processes.
Multicultural Studies
This course emphasizes the historical
backgrounds, origins of prejudice, and present and future
challenges of various racial, cultural, and ethnic groups including peoples of
Asian, African, Native American, and Hispanic descent.
