This is a non-profit organization that assists outstanding low-income students with college admission, scholarships, and other educational opportunities. Applicant must plan to attend a four-year college. The application is available online at: www.questbridge.org. There is no fee for this service. Brochure available in the Career Center.

-WENDY'S HIGH SCHOOL HEISMAN AWARD
DUE: 10/1/09
Applicant may be male/female who excel in academics, athletics, and student leadership. Applicant musthave a "B" average and participate in at least on school-sponsored sport. Applicant available online at: www.wendysheisman.com. Stop in Career Center for information sheet.

-COCA-COLA SCHOLARS FOUNDATION-
DUE: 10/24/08
Applicant must demonstrate leadership, commitment to community and academic achievement. GPA 3.0/better required. Applicant must apply online: www.coca-colascholars.org

-NROTC SCHOLARSHIP-
DUE: Check online for due date
There is no obligation to apply for this scholarship. Students commitment to the Navy does not begin util the beginning of his/her sophomore year. If student drops out of the program before the end of his/her freshman year, he/she is not required to pay anything back. If candidate decides to stay with NROTC his/her sophomore year, he/she is obligated to accept a Commission for 4-years ofactive duty as a Naval Officer after graduation. and 4-years in the Inactive reserve. It is recommended the application be obtained and completed on a computer. The application must be typed. Based on community service, leadership, extracurricular activities, employment, honors/awards. ACT and transcript required. DO NOT FOLD OR STAPLE APPLICATION. PLACE IN LARGE ENVELOPE. Sr. Seuss's College Scholarship recognizes a high school senior who understands and values the limitless possibilities that education can offer. $5,000 scholarship. Application online at www.ohtheplaces.org. Also available in the Career Center.

-AES ENGINEERS SCHOLARSHIP-
DUE: 10/6/09
This $500 scholarship is intended for future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. Applicant is not required to enroll in engineering courses to be eligible. Applicant must answer one of the following topics in 1000 words or less:
-Explain the importance of your current studies in today's society.
-There is general agreement that our economy is in trouble. In general terms, how much responsibility should be shouldered by the average citizen? Further information online at:

-AIR FORCE ROTC SCHOLARSHIPS

Upon graduation applicant is commissioned as an Air force officer. Check the webssite for details and listing of participating colleges. Application available online at: www.afrotc.com

-THE NATIONAL CO-OP SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM-
DUE: 2/8/10
Applicant must have a GPA of 3.5/better. Applicant must complete the required admissions applications material and be accepted for the 2010-2011 academic year at one of the National Commission Partner Institutions listed in the application. Application available in the Career Center.

Applicant must be a resedent of WI. May attend a 4-year or vocational/technical school. Selection based on leadership, citizenship, school and community involvement, & academic achievement. -"FREEDOM IN ACADEMIA" ESSAY CONTEST
DUE: 11/6/09
Applicant must write an in-depth essay explaining how American universities betray the purpose of a university and violate the constitutional guarantees of free expression. Guidelines available online at: thefire.org/contests. Flyer available in the Career Center.
