  • Seniors:  You will be required to submit all scholarship applications and materials on or before the date listed on this scholarship Volume.  If you are asking a teacher or counselor for a recommendation letter, please allow a two-week turn around period.

 

NAFEPA Scholarship Program

 

            -One $2500 scholarship is for a student pursuing a degree in education

            -One $2500 scholarship is for a student pursuing a degree other than education

            -One $2500 scholarship is for a student pursuing any degree

            -Winners are selected on the following criteria:  High School transcript (20) points.

Extracurricular activities/leadership activities within the community or church (20) points.  Three letters of recommendation, including letters from a principal and faculty member (20) points.   Financial need (20) points. A 300 word essay outlining his/her leadership activities and future goals (20) points.

-Due to Student Services December 21, 2009

            -Application can be picked up in the Career Center.

 

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 224

            -6 $1000 scholarships

-Sons, daughters or grandchildren of prior active duty service personnel who were on duty during the Vietnam era.  January 1, 1959 thru May 7, 1975.

-Son, daughter or grandchild of an active Chapter 224 member.

-Application can be picked up in the Career Center

-Deadline:  February 12, 2010 to Student Services

WEAC (Wisconsin Education Association Council)

                -Parents of seniors must qualify in one of the membership categories

A.      An active member

B.      An active retired member

C.       A parent who died while holding WEAC membership

-Students must rank in top 25% or achieve accumulative 3.0 GPA

-Grant for $1450 per year for four years if they remain eligible

-4 scholarships are available each year

-One scholarship will be designated the Kathy Mann Memorial Scholarship to be awarded to a minority student.  In the event no minority student applies or qualifies, the Kathy Mann shall not be awarded.  In its place a regular WEAC scholarship will be awarded.

-Must be in Student Services no later than February 5, 2010
