Social Studies-Welcome to Kringstown
|
"This land is your land and this land is my land, From California to the New York Island. From the Redwood Forest to the Gulf Stream Waters,
This land was made for you and me."
-Woody Guthrie
The words that Woody Guthrie penned in 1940 mean just as much today. I feel that it is important that we understand our place in Guthrie's land as well as the world. My goal as a social studies teacher is to help you understand the events that have brought us to today. As we progress into the future we will use the knowledge we have gained through the study of the past to prepare us to take part in an everchanging world.
Personal Information
I am a graduate of cross town rival, East High School and have an undergraduate dgree in Urban and Regional Studies from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. After coaching soccer during my tenure at Green Bay, I decided that I wanted to work with young adults. Therefore I enrolled at the University of Wisconsin and received my teaching degree in 2003.
In my spare time I love hanging out with family and friends (and my golden retriever, Rocco), listening to music, camping, and playing soccer.
